HAGGAI CHAPTER 1

In verse one, God sends Haggai the prophet to Zerubbabel the governor of Judah and to Joshua the High Priest.

Haggai 1:1 In the second year of Darius the king, in the sixth month, in the first day of the month, came the word of the LORD by Haggai the prophet unto Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, saying,

A few months ago, in the early part of 1998, if you had asked me about Zerubbabel, I would have said he was a type of Christ.  As a matter of fact, that’s what my wife did say when I asked her.  But is he?  Zerubbabel is Strong’s #2216, meaning “descended of (i.e. from) Babylon, i.e. born there.”  Now can we apply this to Christ?  Not from my mind and mouth would I try to make it apply!

ZECHARIAH CHAPTER 4

Read Zechariah Chapter 3 Article Here.

Zechariah 4:1 And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep, 2 And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof: 3 And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.

In verse 1 of chapter 4, Zechariah is seeing a vision.  He is put into a trance or dream, (or however God does this).

In verse 2, six out of the seven translations I checked translated “candlestick” as “lampstand.”  Only the King James translates this word as “candlestick.”

What is the bowl on the top of the lampstand with the seven pipes to the seven lamps?

ZECHARIAH CHAPTER 3

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

The Bible is written for the end-time Christians, upon whom the ends of the world have come:

1 Corinthians 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

A promise is made that in the latter days, we will understand the Lord’s mind:

END-TIME WORK, PART 2 (CHURCH OPERATIONS)

Read the End-Time Work Part 1 Article Here.

Today is August 12, 2001 as I start to write this paper.  Three years has elapsed since I wrote part one.  A lot more information has come clear since then.  This information is on how this end time work of God is brought down to each end time Christian on a personal level.  Understanding these instructions of God for the end time church turns the Bible into a personal handbook for us and our individual church groups by using this handbook we can be powerful instruments in God’s hands.

We have to guide our lives FOLLOWING AFTER God, not RUNNING IN FRONT.  Any real Christian must have the mind of Christ.

Phi 2:5  Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Let’s look at some of this mind of Christ.  Study Philippians. 2:12 first.

Phi 2:12  Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

This is not a suggestion.  If we are to obtain salvation we have to consider this a command.  The command is to each of us to go one on one with Christ.  The results of this one verse in your life when you clearly understand it will make you tremble in awe of this mighty God and Christ who are doing these things.

END-TIME WORK, PART 1

Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

God claims in Amos 8:11 that he will send a famine of the word:

11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD.

“We need your money, money, money so we can do a work, work, work!” Matthew 24:14 and 28:19-20 are used by the Synagogue of Satan to take tithe money from trusting sheep (this is known as “fleecing the sheep”).

Matthew 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

These Bible verses are easily used to keep the money pouring in, and to make you and me feel good about doing “the work.” On and on this goes…The Worldwide Church of God did this “great work.” But, the end didn’t come. Now, the splinter groups of this organization are duplicating this lie with their own versions of how the end-time work should be done.

ANOINTING

When studying the proper way to anoint, we need to stop and think a minute. All the early New Testament Church had to go by were the Old Testament examples, along with what they had actually seen Christ do. So with that in mind, let us look at the proper Biblical method of anointing. We will start in the Old Testament.

Exodus 28:41 shows us how Aaron and his sons were set apart and anointed, with more details in the surrounding verses.

Exodus 28:40 And for Aaron’s sons thou shalt make coats, and thou shalt make for them girdles, and bonnets shalt thou make for them, for glory and for beauty. 41 And thou shalt put them upon Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him; and shalt anoint them, and consecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister unto me in the priest’s office.

This could easily be assumed that the coats, girdles and bonnets of verse 40 were being anointed. The key is in the last part of verse 41, “that they may minister unto me.” Coats, girdles and bonnets don’t minister.

This procedure that Moses had to follow continues in Exodus 29:7. In this anointing were two steps: (1) pour and (2) anoint:

TITHING

The Bible is written for the end-time Christians:

1 Corinthians 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. 12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

We are warned in verse 12 to take heed lest we fall.  A famine of the word exists in the end-time:

Amos 8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: 12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.

We are commanded to live by every word that proceeds from God:

SCRIPTURES TO LIVE AND PROSPER BY

The Bible is written for the end-time Christians, upon whom the end of the ages has come:

1 Corinthians 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

If you have been in God’s church for many years, especially prior to 1972, it seems as though God has deserted us.  Hardly anyone is healed, and very few prayers are answered.  I am speaking of the church as a whole.  Satan could very well cause many of the healings and answered prayers we get today.  Is that a strange concept to you?  Satan can and does answer prayers, and God allows it.  After all, Satan is the god of this world.

FEAR OF GOD

This is another paper that has been lying on the shelf for about five years.

What is the fear of the Lord?  We have certainly been deceived by Satan in the past on this subject, in comparing what we’ve been taught and what the Bible actually says.

There certainly wasn’t any ‘fear of God’ in the minister here in Denver, CO., in the spring of 1995 at the local Worldwide Church of God during the Passover service.  The minister in charge spiritually puked all over the congregation by saying that you would be equally blessed if you did or did not unleaven your home.  What a blatant lie, lack of respect, and lack of fear for these two Great Gods who inhabit eternity.

God’s word, the Bible, makes it very clear that we are not to eat or have leaven in our homes during the week of Unleavened Bread!  Shortly after that Passover the United Church of God was formed and we started attending their services.  A leading, prominent minister of the United Church of God told my wife and me very plainly that he would not preach ‘fear.’  How pathetic!  If this man won’t preach fear, he certainly won’t have the necessary fear that God expects us to have.

TYPICAL SABBATH SERVICE

This is another paper that has lain on the shelf for several years.

What would a typical Sabbath service be like in the true church of God?  If we are to follow God’s instructions, examples, prototypes, it won’t be like what we’ve been used to in the Worldwide Church of God or it’s splinter groups, or any of the mainstream churches as far as I’m aware of.  If we don’t follow God’s instructions, we are just playing church anyway.  God’s word is very clear about church operations.  In the past, this word has been perverted mightily.

1 Corinthians 10:11 sets the stage.

1 Corinthians 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
