PROVERBS 24:27

Proverbs 24:27 Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house.

This verse is the mind of Jesus Christ:

Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Is it Matthew 4:4, that we must live by?

Matthew 4: 4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

The Amplified Bible states Proverbs 24:27 as follows: “Put first things first.  Prepare your work outside and get ready in the field and afterward build your house and establish a home.”

These are instructions to the end-time Christians, 1 Corinthians 10:11, to build and govern their lives by the words of the Bible:

1 Corinthians 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

We are awakened by the cry at midnight, (Matthew 25:6) made by the end-time Elijah.  He is the only person who can make ready a people prepared for the Lord, (Luke 1:17).

Matthew 25:6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

Luke 1:17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

We will be coming out of the Synagogue of Satan that is mentioned in Revelation 3:9 in the message to the Philadelphia Church:

Revelation 3:9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

As we have the Holy Spirit stirred up in us, (Haggai 1:14), we will start to clearly understand God’s word.  We will then follow the instructions of 2 Corinthians 6:14-18, so that we can be sons and daughters of God:

Haggai 1:14 And the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work in the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,

2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

As this exodus from the church of Satan takes place, many true Christians will be looking for mates as we get our spiritual minds straightened out. The virgins will begin to realize how deeply asleep they have been, spiritually.

Matthew 25:5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. 6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

For whatever reason—divorce, death of a mate, never having been married—God’s unmarried Christians will be looking for mates of like mind.  They will understand that Genesis 2:18 certainly means what it says, and certainly applies to both sexes—it is not good for a woman to be alone, either.

Genesis 2:18 And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

However, some may want to use 1 Corinthians 7 to advocate staying single:

1 Corinthians 7:26 I suppose therefore that this is good for the present distress, I say, that it is good for a man so to be.

I would just like to ask one question of this.  Are we in the same distress that the church was in when Paul said this?  Possibly, we will be in the future.  We will probably experience much greater distress as the end-time events occur. If any man or woman chooses to stay single and can live a Godly life, avoiding the lust and selfishness that being alone can bring, and that is fine.  What a boring life that would be for me to come home to an empty house instead of a wife with no one to talk to, no fellowship of like minds except when we are with brethren.  No real home life at all—just myself.  I would want no part in it, but people are different, and God allows for that.

The Bible gives clear instructions for those who want a mate.  Be prepared before you jump off into marriage.  Do not think that you can live on love.  Ask some of us who have tried it.  In all likelihood, some of you have tried it also.

Proverbs 24:27 Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house.

You men should be prepared with the education, skill, trade or whatever it takes to provide a comfortable living for you, your wife, and, in most cases, children.

It is extremely hard to further your education and develop a trade or skill that is in demand and well paying after you are married.  You probably will not have time for these changes if you are working hard to make ends meet.  God knows what he is talking about in Proverbs 24:27 and other verses concerning marriage.

Proverbs 24:27 Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house.

Does God’s word mean what it says in Genesis 2:20?  “Help” is Strongs #5828: “aid, help.”

Genesis 2:20 And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.

In verses 21-23, God creates a woman, Eve, the mother of all, to “aid, help” Adam.

Genesis 2:21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; 22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. 23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

If we are to live by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4), this is our first clue about family relations.  The woman is an aid or help to her husband.

Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

If a woman is a hindrance to her husband, then she is not doing her part.  Anyone can figure out what is an aid and what is a hindrance in marriage.  All the wife’s efforts should add to and supplement the husband’s efforts toward building a home and family and having a comfortable lifestyle.  The wife’s efforts, regardless of the excuse, should never pull in an opposite direction from her husband.

I am speaking of the truly converted end-time Christians who have been awakened by the cry at midnight.  They will recognize their parts as deputies of Elijah (Haggai 1:14).

This word “work” means “deputyship.”  Remember, the Bible is written for the end-time Christians.  Read my paper on Haggai.

1 Corinthians 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

“Ensamples,” (examples) means “prototypes.”

There will be quite a few tare/good seed marriages that are already in place as the end-time work gets under way.  If you are in one of those marriages, you will have to follow God’s instructions:

Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

However, this article is written primarily to people who are going to marry after they have awakened to end-time events.  There is a way to deal with God’s instruction to us in the end time if we will put God to the test.  How does a newlywed person follow the instruction in Titus 2:5?

Titus 2:5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

This verse certainly tells us where a wife’s priority has to be.  The phrase “keepers at home” is Strongs #3626: “a stayer at home, i.e. domestically inclined, a good housekeeper, keeper at home.”  Does that mean a woman can do nothing outside the home?  No, it simply means she must have her priorities straight.  The home, her husband and children are her first priorities.

Would Christ expect you to sit at home all day and twiddle your thumbs after the day’s chores and housekeeping duties are complete?  With today’s modern conveniences, doing the housework requires a lot less time than it did in the old days.  Take washing clothes, for instance.  Everyone is aware of the old-time methods versus a washing machine and dryer.

Most of us go to the market and buy food.  People used to grow their own food, then can, freeze or dry it themselves.  Modern housekeeping requires considerably less physical work than at any other time in history.

How do we fill the void?

The purpose of this article is not to go into the specifics of husband/wife relations.  We end-time Christians, as we wake up, will have to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling:

Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Husbands in the end time should not use the instruction in Ephesians 5:22 to justify being a male chauvinist and lord it over their wives in an un-Godly manner.

Ephesians 5:22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

The main purpose of this article is how to be prepared for marriage in the end time.  God’s specialty is in creating and giving.  The different needs of newlyweds in the end time could be as numerous as the newlyweds themselves. What does God’s word say?  We will look at a few of His promises.

Psalms 84:11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

Does this mean you?  You bet it does, if you are an end-time virgin.  Is it a “good thing” for you to have the exact, right ingredients for your participation in marriage?  God is bound by His unbreakable word.  He will give you this, if you “walk uprightly.”  It is impossible for God to lie, but we must have faith to please Him in the end time:

Hebrews 6:18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

What does God say in Psalms 37:4?

Psalms 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

“Delight” is Strong’s #6026: “to be soft or pliable…”  Here again is the desire of the end-time newlyweds—to have all the right ingredients for a good marriage.  If we are pliable in God’s hands, like a piece of clay, God is bound by His unbreakable word to give us what we need:

Romans 9: 21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

Can God create and give to you and your mate the exact needs for your marriage?  You bet He can and He would be delighted to do this.  But, we have to keep human reasoning out of it.  Follow God’s instructions.  If you don’t know how, ask Him to show you how:

James 4:2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.

Ask, and it shall be given:

Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

Because of not using the scriptures properly, we suffer through many trials and problems, when the load could be much lighter, or totally lifted from us.  We do this to ourselves by not putting God to the test, or by failing to lean on the faith that we have already.  In a lot of cases, we prolong the agony by not doing James 4:2 properly.  We have not because we ask not (properly).

James 4:2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.

God knows a person’s thought processes, so don’t do James 4:3:

James 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

I learned a long time ago not to make important decisions based on my own human reasoning.  Satan-inspired human reasoning gets in the way of us all.  Instead, I pray (and God knows my attitude) that God will force me to make right decisions.  In some cases, I have refused to make a decision until God forces the issue.  Try it, and don’t let human reasoning get in the way.  God has ways of answering prayers but we must have patience and faith.  So, are great mountains blocking the way to a solid marriage for you and your potential mate?  If so, put Matthew 17:20 to the test:

Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

God is going to be involved in our lives in the end time.  If we are wise virgins, we will be forced to go one on one with Him.  The unwise virgins will not accept Christ’s efforts to have a one on one relationship with them.  We have to develop a personal relationship with God.  Nothing short of that will be pleasing to Him.  So, if we make a mistake and marry the wrong person, or marry unprepared, it’s no one’s fault but our own.

God has laid out the promises and challenges.  Will we rise to the occasion and develop the faith we need to go into God’s kingdom?  Each person looking for a mate should ask God to force them into choosing the right one, then be patient until He does.  Avoid human reasoning and use wisdom instead.  For instance, if you are trying to figure out certain things about a particular person, DO NOT ASK LEADING QUESTIONS.  You will only get the answer that you led them in to.

As for women working outside the home, this will vary with the marriages.  There will be an abundance of work to do, as we become deputies of Elijah/Zerubbabel:

Haggai 1:14 And the LORD stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work in the house of the LORD of hosts, their God,

The word “work” means “deputyship” and I fully suspect that the women will be doing more “work” than the men.  I suspect this because, in most cases, the men are going to be producing an income for the household.  The women will simply have more time to devote to the end-time work.

Let me present a scenario that will be repeated many times in the end time.  As the cry at midnight comes to us, we wake up, spiritually.  We will prove that the Elijah character, through tapes, papers, etc., is speaking the truth.  We will see that the spiritual content of his message is  waking the virgins up.  We will understand that the word “work” in Haggai 1:14 means “deputyship.”  Zodhiates’ Complete Word Study Old Testament says that the principle meaning is “deputyship.”

Once we understand this, we are bound to act on God’s word.  As deputies of the end-time Elijah, we will help him further his message.  He is the only one who can make ready a people prepared for the Lord:

Luke 1:17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

It is totally impossible for the end-time Elijah to go one on one with all the people mentioned in Rev 7:1-4, 9, 14.  This IS the end-time work, since the tribulation is held up so that this can be accomplished:

Revelation 7:1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. 2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, 3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. 4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;…..14….And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Fifty percent of the virgins are foolish and miss salvation, (Matthew 25:2), but they still are virgins when the cry at midnight goes out and must be dealt with until they blow their salvation.

Matthew 25:2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

So what am I saying?  The wise virgins, as they wake up, go through the doors of Revelation 3:7-8 and turn many to righteousness (Daniel 12:3) as deputies of Elijah.

Revelation 3:7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; 8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

Daniel 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

We, as individuals, are responsible for how we spend God’s tithe money (see my article “Tithing”)  Just one verse on this subject.  Notice Matthew 25:20.  It says “I” have gained five talents, not “I and some corporate group…”  Not, “I and the leader of a corporate group.”

Matthew 25:20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.

If you spend many hours doing God’s end-time work as a deputy of Elijah, should you be paid?  Certainly, you should.  God even commands us to pay the animals that work for us in good food.  The ox should be allowed to eat the same corn (grain) that it is treading out.

1 Timothy 5:18 For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.

1 Corinthians 9:9 For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen?

Deuteronomy 25:4 Thou shalt not muzzle the ox when he treadeth out the corn.

Notice in 1 Timothy 5:18 (above) that the laborer is worthy of his reward.

Say you are a homemaker whose family could use the extra income from this part time job.  If you work X number of hours a week doing God’s end-time work as a deputy of Elijah, someone should pay you out of their first tithe and offering.  That is God’s word, and it should be obeyed.

We shouldn’t feel bad about taking a wage from God’s tithe and offering if we truly are an end-time wise virgin furthering Elijah’s message as one of his deputies.  But, Satan will have us on a guilt trip.  He has brainwashed us through the ideas and methods that have been used by corporate groups to do their fake “end-time works.”  GARBAGE!!!

Daniel 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. 3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

You and I, as deputies of Elijah, have a direct part in doing the end-time work as we go about turning many to righteousness.  Verse 2 Daniel 12 gives this an end-time setting—in the first resurrection, both spiritual and physical beings will come forth.  Verse 3 is our part in doing the end-time work as deputies of Elijah.

The men who are having to work full-time to produce a living for the family should see that the women who work part or full time as deputies of Elijah are paid a fair and proper wage for their work.

What if you work as a deputy and don’t need to be paid?  That’s fine, too.  I’m sure that God will credit your spiritual account with this as an offering.

A few of the end-time virgins will have a healthy retirement income and will not want or need to be paid.  But anyone who needs or wants to be paid for doing honest labor in God’s end-time work should be paid a fair wage, whatever that might be in your part of the world.  That is God’s word, and it should be remembered.

1 Timothy 5:18 For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward.

How about it, end-time virgins?  Will you build your barn before you buy your horse, as we are instructed in Proverbs 24:27?  Will you put God to the test on the promises that He has made?  Remember, two of his strongest attributes are creating and giving.

Proverbs 24:27 Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house.

You and your mate can have a happy marriage with all your needs met if you do it God’s way, or you can do it Satan’s way and pay the price later.  The decision is yours.  Will God be sighing with grief over your unwise decision?

Will you and your potential mate look to God for solutions to the problems that will inevitably arise?  Will you ask God to create and present the answers you need to make your marriage work?  Ask for the necessary income to allow the wife time to be a good help (aid) to her husband.  We have not because we ask not.

James 4:2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.

Will you be pliable in God’s hands?

Psalms 37:4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

The decision is yours—do not have God thinking this.

Deuteronomy 5:29 O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!
