THE JOB PRINCIPLE

Does the “Job Principle” apply to you and me?  You bet it does.  The Bible is written for the end time Christians.

1 Corinthians 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

“Examples” is Strong’s #5179: “a die (as struck), i.e. (by impl.) a stamp or scar; by anal. a shape, i.e. statue, (fig.) style or resemblance; spec. a sampler (“type“), i.e. a model (for imitation) or instance (for warning).”

Zodhiates’ Complete Word Study New Testament says: “type, as a constituent element of a parable or model of some reality which was yet to appear, a prototype of that which was yet to be developed and evolved.”

“Admonition” is Strong’s #3559: “calling attention to, i.e. (by impl.) mild rebuke or warning.”

“World” is Strong’s #165: “prop. an age; by extens. perpetuity (also past); by impl. the world; spec. (Jewish) a Messianic period (present or future):—age, course, eternal, (for) ever (-more), [n-]ever, (beginning of the , while the) world (began, without end).”

This Job Principle is going to be a major tool God uses in waking up the end time virgins.  While Christ tarries, or lingers, all the end time virgins go to sleep and STAY ASLEEP until the time God sends the cry at midnight to them. Then all the virgins awake and start to put their spiritual houses in order.

Matthew 25:5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

There are no exceptions to this.  It includes every one of us.  There are plenty of prophecies to make clear that this is a piecemeal process.  The numbers are far too huge for it to happen in one fell swoop.

Once we understand the Job Principle that is outlined in the first two chapters of the book of Job, we will find major doors of understanding opening up in our lives, such as why things are happening to us and others that we couldn’t explain before becoming aware of this principle.

Failing or refusing to understand the principles that God has given us in the first two chapters of Job will close a major avenue of understanding on our trip into eternity and could very well hinder or even block our entry into the Kingdom.

Today is Feb. 21, 2000.  I’ve just been aware of this principle and how it applies to me personally the last six weeks or so as I see it being played out in my life.  Don’t kid yourself.  This can be major as it is in my wife’s and my case.

My trade is a building contractor, full time for about the last ten years, and part time before that when my trade was stone masonry for almost twenty years before the building contractor period.  To make a long story short, we haven’t sold a house since Nov. 30, 1998.  Our “employer,” Solid Rock, Inc. hasn’t paid us since June of 1999.  We’ve been living on personal savings and investment income since then.  We have a “maybe” contract on one of our houses that “might” close April 5, 2000.  This house has been ready to live in since early August 1999.  (It actually did close the first day of June 2000.)  If the closing does happen in April, that will put us over 17 months without a payday for our corporation, Solid Rock, Inc.

Don’t think for a second that Satan won’t take you right down to the bottom just like he did Job.  Also, don’t think that God won’t allow it, because He allowed it with Job.  Are we better than Job?  No way! No, we aren’t!  God wrote Job’s example for us to learn from.

Satan has a full time job. Let’s see this in the New Testament.  His job description is found in Revelation. 12:9-10, deceiving in verse 9 and accusing in verse 10.

Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

This job description is what I will deal with in this paper.  Other things could be added, like lying, since he is the father of lies.  Apparently, he created or invented LYING, John 8:44.

John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

I have never done anything to Satan. I have a hard time understanding or fathoming his wicked mind.  Why does he put out his full effort to destroy people who are powerless against him and have never and can never do anything to him, unless God gives us that opportunity?

Job 1:1 identifies the character that God looks for.  God looks for character that is perfect, upright, God-fearing, and which “eschews evil.”

Job 1:1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.

“Eschewed” is Strong’s #5493, meaning “to turn off (lit. or fig.)…”

“Perfect” is Strong’s #8535, meaning “complete, usually morally (mor.) pious…”

Job 1:5 And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.

Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

Job 1:7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

In verse 5, notice how zealous Job was.  He rose up early to make these burnt offerings.  He was consistent.  Zeal and consistency are characteristics that God wants in us.  Philadelphians have this. Laodiceans don’t.  Verse 6 indicates that there are set times when all the angels and demons have to appear before the Father and Christ.  Verse 7 shows Satan ruling and traveling through his domain in the earth.

Notice in Matthew 4:8-9, Christ didn’t deny that Satan had the power to give him any and everything in the world.

Matthew 4:8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

Matthew 4:9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

We would be very naive to think that this whole passage in Matthew 4 does not apply to us.  Change one word in verses 3 and 6; change “the” to “a”  “If you be “a” son of God.”  Our temptations would be to the extreme of what we could stand, not necessarily what Christ or Job did endure.

1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

This should start to give us some insight into the power that Satan has been granted by God.  He was able to tempt the very Son of God in the flesh.  Are we any better?

2 Corinthians 4:4 says that Satan is the God of this world.  Are we in one sense as humans trespassing on his turf?

In Job 1:8, either the Father or Christ initiates the conversation with Satan and offers a compliment that we all should strive for.

Job 1:8 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?

This word “perfect” is the same one used in verse 1, meaning “complete.”

Now notice the command in Mat. 5:48.

Matthew 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

“Perfect” here is Strong’s #5046, meaning “complete, (in various applications of labor, growth, mental and moral character…).”

We better not deceive ourselves. A certain level of perfection is required, even commanded.  Job had attained that level, and his example, or prototype, is written for us.  For sure, this “Job Principle” that we are discussing in this paper is deeply involved in this.  When we reach the level of Job’s righteousness, does that mean that we are home free? No way!  Job probably endured the biggest trial of his life after he reached the level that God complimented him on.  Remember, it is through much tribulation that we enter the kingdom.

Acts 14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

Job was experiencing John 15:2 long before it was written down for us.

John 15:2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Continue in Job 1:9-11.

Job 1:9 Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? 10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face.

Satan is doing his job, accusing, very well, with his purpose being to destroy Job.  Satan presented these arguments: look at the profit that’s in this situation for Job.  He is surrounded by this “blessing fence.”  Look at all Job’s material goods plus his family.  Take this away, Satan says, and Job will curse you to your face.  God set the bounds that Satan could operate under in verse 12

Job 1:12 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.

Let’s look at this in today’s church of God.  Since the Bible is written for us, this is what we have to do.  On a certain day, all the sons of God come before God.  This could be some day in 1998 or 1999 or 2000, or further in the future.

Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.

God says to Satan: HAVE YOU CONSIDERED MY SERVANT JOE CHRISTIAN IN LONDON, JIM CHRISTIAN IN DALLAS, OR SUSIE CHRISTIAN IN CAPE TOWN, OR CAROLYN CHRISTIAN IN NEW ZEALAND?

Satan replies: Do they fear God for nothing? Hey, look, God, it PAYS very well for them to fear you. Look at the “blessing fence” that you have built around these people.

Obedience to God produces blessings, and Satan knows this.  So, one of his tactics is to convince God to let him take the blessings away.  What an evil mind!  Why can’t he just leave us alone?

Satan might continue: Give me six months or a year, two or three years to take away their blessings.  I’ll turn Jim’s entire family against him.  They will all go after another religion, one of MY religions.

Hey, God, watch Jim in three years or less.  He will curse you to your face.  He will leave your church and go with his family.  I’ll cause his wife to really put pressure on him, and then God, just watch him compromise.

Give me four years with Joe.  I’ll make his marriage go sour.  I’ll make an alcoholic out of his son and drug addicts out of his daughters.  Then watch him give up in despair and quit your church, God.  I’ll strip away his income.  I’ll make his business contacts go bad. I’ll get him demoted on his job. Satan may accuse Joe of being a loser, not able to handle the pressure. Watch him bend when I do all this to him, Satan might say.

Accusing is Satan’s job, after all.  Satan may say give me three years with Carolyn Christian.  Let me take away everything she holds dear.  Let me strip down this “blessing wall” you’ve put around her.  Yeah, God, watch her crack and crumble into a disobedient piece of dirt.  I’ll take the life of one of her children.  I’ll turn her best friends in the church against her.  On and on the Accuser may go.  When being a Christian doesn’t pay with blessings, watch what she will do.

Give me enough time with Susie Christian in my power.  I’ll make her compromise your word and spiritually spit in your face, God.  I’ll make her unconverted husband’s mind turn to another woman.  She can’t stand alone, Satan may say.

Watch what happens, Satan continues, when I take away her good life style that you have blessed her with, and I put her in a tiny apartment alone, forsaken by her ex-husband.  I’ll send all her children into MY system.  When every last bit of this blessing fence is ripped down, she will fold, crumble, compromise your ways, and curse you and your ways to your face, Satan may say to God.

Satan may accuse: She is a spiritual wimp and can’t stand alone when I put the pressure on her.

Now look at how Job 1:12 might be read in the end time.

Job 1:12 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.

God might say: BEHOLD ALL THEY (JOE, JIM, CAROLYN, SUSIE) HAVE IS IN YOUR POWER, ONLY DON’T PUT YOUR HAND ON THEIR PERSON.

Let’s don’t kid ourselves, whether or not we enter eternal life hinges upon how we handle these things.

Is 1 Corinthians 10:11 true or not?

1 Corinthians 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

Zhodiates’ Complete Word Study New Testament says: “type, as a constituent element of a parable or model of some reality which was yet to appear, a prototype of that which was yet to be developed and evolved.”

The Job Principle applies to every last virgin with the Holy Spirit in the end time, and it will in many cases be a contributing factor to how we wake up.  As I have said many times, Matthew. 25:5 is true and there are not ANY EXCEPTIONS.

Matthew 25:5 While the bridegroom tarried, they ALL slumbered and slept.

The story through the end of the first chapter of Job records for us how Satan systematically took away all of Job’s physical riches and his children.  JUST NOTICE THE POWER THAT SATAN HAS OVER OTHER HUMANS TO MAKE THEM DO HIS WILL.

Job 1:15 AND THE SABEANS FELL UPON THEM, AND TOOK THEM AWAY; YEA, THEY HAVE SLAIN THE SERVANTS WITH THE EDGE OF THE SWORD; AND I ONLY AM ESCAPED ALONE TO TELL THEE.

Job 1:17 WHILE HE WAS YET SPEAKING, THERE CAME ALSO ANOTHER, AND SAID, THE CHALDEANS MADE OUT THREE BANDS, AND FELL UPON THE CAMELS, AND HAVE CARRIED THEM AWAY, YEA, AND SLAIN THE SERVANTS WITH THE EDGE OF THE SWORD; AND I ONLY AM ESCAPED ALONE TO TELL THEE.

Satan also has POWER OVER THE FORCES OF WHAT WE CALL NATURE.

Job 1:16 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee

“Fire” is Strong’s #784, meaning “fire, (lit. or fig.) burning, fiery, fire, flaming, hot.”

How did Satan do this?  I don’t know exactly.  Here is what happened here in Colorado in the summer of 1999.  In the Mt. Evans Wilderness, just 20 miles or so south of my house, a herd of about sixty elk were found dead in an area above tree line on the tundra.  They weren’t in one small cluster either; they were scattered out pretty well.  The Colorado Division of Wildlife investigators were confident that the deaths were caused by a lightning strike.  There must have been many “fingers” to this strike, considering the distances between the animals in the picture I saw.

Satan also used a great wind to kill Job’s children, no doubt something similar to some of the death dealing winds that are reported in today’s world news.

We need to REALIZE AND COME TO GRIPS WITH THE INCREDIBLE AMOUNT OF POWER that Satan has, and that God lets him use on us and against us, the end time Christians.

Will God let Satan take away one of our children in death?  If He sees that we need a severe test or shock to get our attention, maybe He would.  Are we any better than Job?

What we have covered is not the complete story.  It is just part of the Job Principle.  It can get WORSE for us, for it did get WORSE for Job.  Let’s continue.

Job 2:1 Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD.

A certain period of time passed by and we have the same type meeting going on in heaven as described in Chapter 1.  Keep in mind that Job was bound to be suffering tremendous emotional and mental stress from what had just transpired in his life.  This time lapse could have been a number of months or more as all the spirit beings watched to see if Job would break.  Notice again how God instigates the conversation with Satan.

Job 2:2 And the LORD said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

Job 2:3 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, ALTHOUGH THOU MOVEDST ME AGAINST HIM, TO DESTROY HIM WITHOUT CAUSE.

Put YOUR NAME or that of a friend in place of Job. We may not understand what is going on in our lives when the world of blessings caused by obedience to God is stripped away by Satan with God’s permission. This is what it feels like to me as my world of blessing has been stripped away in approximately the last five years.

We end time Christians have to know that what I call the Job Principle applies to us.  Our names can be substituted for that of Job.  God’s goal for us is that PERFECT STERLING CHARACTER, and He uses Satan and his evil works to develop that character in us.

Now continue in Job 2: 4-5.

Job 2:4 And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.

Job 2:5 But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face.

Notice how the Accuser of the Brethren doesn’t give up.  Satan’s full intention is to destroy you and me, just like he intended to destroy Job.  THE HEAT IS NOW TURNED UP TO HIGH.

Job 2:6 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, HE IS IN THINE HAND; but save his life.

God sets the limits.  Apparently, anything goes except actually taking Job’s life.

Job 2:7 So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.

Does this seem cruel and fiendish to you?  Do you think that you as an end time Christian are immune to attacks from Satan?  Do you think that Satan could not bring about a similar situation in your life?  How does your mind cope with this situation in Job’s life?  This could just as easily be Joe, Jim, Carolyn, or Susie Christian.  The afflictions could be Parkinson’s Disease, leukemia, Lou Gerig’s Disease, AIDS, or any of the various cancers.  There is no shortage of disease.  How would you cope with this if God turned Satan loose on you?  I think that He will let Satan have a shot at all of us.  All that is to be determined is the degree of the trial.

WOULD WE FINALLY BREAK DOWN AS SATAN SLOWLY AND SURELY TIGHTENS THE SCREWS ON US?  Maybe we’ve already lost much of our physical blessings.  Maybe we’ve lost a child or a mate.  Now we see our own physical life ebbing away as Satan strikes us with some disease.  Will we break down and prove Satan right? Or, will we be SURVIVORS, just like Job?

I want to repeat: for God to develop that sterling character in us, he may very well let Satan take his best shot at us, JUST LIKE JOB.  We must realize that 1 Cor. 10:11 is true and this prototype was written down for us to act out.

1 Corinthians 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

Zhodiates’ Complete Word Study New Testament says: “type, as a constituent element of a parable or model of some reality which was yet to appear, a prototype of that which was yet to be developed and evolved.”

If we are prepared mentally and have full confidence in God’s word, we can survive.  After all, if, 1 Corinthians 10:11 is true, then 10:13 is true also.

1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

There is a way for us to handle anything that comes our way.  We have to rid our minds of the idea that just because God is love, He won’t allow anything bad to happen to us.  God’s love is TOUGH LOVE.  The finished product is what He is concerned about.  Here is what He wants to say of every one of us end time  virgins.

Job 1:8 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, A PERFECT AND AN UPRIGHT MAN, ONE THAT FEARETH GOD, AND ESCHEWETH EVIL?

Job 2:3 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although THOU MOVEDST ME AGAINST HIM, TO DESTROY HIM WITHOUT CAUSE.

The end time virgins obeyed Matthew 5:48 and completed it in their lives.

Matthew 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Can Satan cause a PHYSICAL ILLNESS in our lives?  You bet that he can.  Notice this next verse.

Luke 13:11 And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.

Luke 13:16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?

Do you have a concept of God in your mind that would allow a human being to suffer for eighteen years in this situation as this woman did?  We’ve got to have the real, true concept of God in our minds if we are to be able to cope with the things that Satan can and will hit us with.

Matthew 17:14 And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying,

15 Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.

16 And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.

17 Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.

18 And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.

Would the God you know let this happen to an innocent child?  It’s possible that he could have been an adult by this time.

Mark 9:21 And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.

Mark 9:22 And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.

How much physical pain had this kid endured?  How many ugly burn scars were on his body?  How many close call with drowning had he experiences?  How much had the parents suffered mentally and emotionally because of this situation?  WOULD THE GOD THAT YOU KNOW IN YOUR MIND LET AN EVIL FIENDISH DEMON POSSESS ONE OF YOUR CHILDREN AND SPEND YEARS TRYING TO DESTROY HIM?   The God of the Bible would.  Is His word true or not? Will we believe that the Job Principle applies to us and that Satan can afflict us with probably any disease that he cares to.

I’ll share a personal experience that happened to me not long ago.  A problem developed in my right knee and kept getting progressively worse over a period of about a month or more.  Each week I hike up the mountain behind my house three times just to keep my heart and body fit.  Because I was short on work, I came home early on Friday and took a walk up the mountain for about an hour.  There was over a foot of snow on the ground.  The knee kept getting continuously more and more painful until by the time for bed I couldn’t go to sleep.  To that time I had never figured out a cause for the pain.  While lying there in considerable pain, I finally figured out there could be a demoninvolved.  I rebuked the demon in Jesus Christ’s name to quit afflicting my knee.  Within two minutes the pain was gone and never has returned as of this time.

Let’s don’t be spiritually naïve. Some of the afflictions you have right now may very well be from Satan or one of his demons.  We must learn the tactics of the enemy.

One of his tactics is to make us believe that something like the things that we have been discussing in this paper is just NONSENSE.  I’ve seen this over and over among family and friends.  They take the attitude, Hey I’m awake. Matthew 25:5 doesn’t apply to me. Satan can’t pull the wool over my eyes. I can see Satan coming.

Matthew 25:5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

Confront someone about a demon influencing him and most of the time you will meet with hostility.  God has to deal with these minds.  There is little that we can do except stand powerlessly by and let the scenario unfold while God calls the shots.

Let’s get a clearer understanding of what our battle is all about.  Number one, the enemy is unseen, invisible to us humans.  Number two- our archenemy may very well be tied with the other two archangels as the third most powerful beings in the cosmos.

Today is July 14, 2000 about six months since I’ve written this paper there is at least one angel stronger than Satan.

Revelation 20:1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.

Revelation 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,

He didn’t need help handling Satan.

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

One would have to wonder if Job even knew who his enemy was.  He probably didn’t until after the trials.  Maybe God informed him when He started restoring Job’s blessings. If we were in a flesh and blood contest, we would be in a somewhat equal contest according to plain human strength and mental capacity.  But this is not the case for our enemy is unseen and extremely powerful.

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

In this verse, we are told that we have to have the whole armor of God in order to stand before the wiles or trickery of Satan.  It is a battle for our minds.  The Job Principle may very well manifest itself is physical problems and affliction.  Our mind control or lack of it is where we gain or loose salvation.  When Satan tricks us into cursing God to his face and giving up, we destroy ourselves.  That is the purpose of the pressure that Satan can and will put upon us.  Satan has no bounds other than what God would impose upon him as he seeks to make us destroy ourselves.  God will set these bounds according to the individual attitude of his people.

Did you ever see a cat playing with its catch?  House cats that are allowed to roam will catch mice or chipmunks and sometimes they won’t kill them.  They just wound them and proceed to play with their victim.  A friend told me about her house cat that caught a chipmunk, chewed off all four feet, then proceeded to play with the living victim, until my friend discovered the situation and finished off the little chipmunk.

We can feel like that chipmunk once God has allowed Satan to take us DOWN TO THE BOTTOM.  Let’s don’t deceive ourselves.  We are no better than Job.  Did he go to the bottom?

When you start to see what is going on with Satan and these demons in your life as this Job Principle starts to take its toll, you will start to feel like the victim of some evil game of Satan.  Just like that poor chipmunk with all four feet chewed off, the tormentor, the house cat, was having FUN with his helpless victim.  Our tormentor is a “roaring lion,” a very large cat that has fun with us, his helpless victims.

As covered in other papers, demons have their recreation by tormenting human beings.

Luke 11:24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out.

“Rest” is Strong’s # 372, meaning from Strong’s #373, “intermission, by impl. recreation:- rest.”

Matthew 12:43 says the same thing.

Matthew 12:43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.

God will provide a way of escape just as He promises in 1 Cor. 10:13. We will obtain the way out of the trial if we keep our spiritual heads screwed on straight when the trial has run its course.  I feel very strongly that there are a set number of days to these trials and that there is nothing that we can do to shorten the time.  God suffers long with His people.

1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Go back to Ephesians 6:11 for an interesting short Bible study.  Look up all the key words in verse 12.  I’ll just mention a couple here and what the lexicons say about them.

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

“Powers” is Strong’s #1849. Zodhiates’ Lexical Aids to the New Testament says it means, “permissible, allowed, permission, authority, right, liberty, power to do anything…”

This is what lowly, powerLESS humans are subject to and God allows it.  That is a really sobering thought to me.  Is this the God you know who allows this?  It IS the God of the Bible.

“Rulers” is Strong’s #2888, meaning “a world ruler, and epithet of Satan, ruler.”

Job 42:10 And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.

In this verse, “captivity” is Strong’s #7622.  This word is from #7617, meaning “exile; concretely, prisoners; fig., a former state of prosperity, captive (-ity).”  Job had been Satan’s captive for many months or maybe even years.  We really don’t know.  I’m sure it had to be an extended period of time for all the lessons to sink in.  As mentioned before, I don’t think that there is anything we can do to shorten these trials.  Maybe we could, if we are fast learners!  Read the last several verses of Job 42 and see how God blessed Job after he successfully conquered Satan.

There is another aspect to this Job Principle that we all need to be aware of.  Each end time Christian will be involved in this Job Principle, either as a Jim Job or a Susie Job, or as a bystander.  We will no doubt be bystanders many times as we watch our brethren, brothers and sisters, fight it out with Satan.

Job 42:7 And it was so, that after the LORD had spoken these words unto Job, the LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath.

Job’s three friends are in BIG trouble.  From my perspective, with friends like these, who needs enemies!  They said the wrong things.  They spoke many words rebuking and accusing Job.  That is what they are in trouble for.

Job 8:20 Behold, God will not cast away a perfect man, neither will he help the evil doers:

Neither Job nor his three friends were aware of what the spirit world knew then, the deal that Satan had previously made with God. They didn’t know that God was allowing Satan to try to destroy Job, and that God had the confidence that Satan couldn’t do it.

Job 32:3 Also against his three friends was his wrath kindled, because they had found no answer, and yet had CONDEMNED Job.

Elihu was indignant that the three other guys had condemned Job, yet really hadn’t found the answer.  The reason they did not know the answer was that they were not aware of what was going on in the spirit world.  They could only see the physical, so they jumped to a lot of untrue conclusions.

Before we, as end time Christians, start judging, condemning, criticizing, we better give great latitude for what might be going on unseen to us.  Job 1:10-12 and 2:4-6 may have been discussed in heaven earlier, using that person’s name that we are condemning in place of the name of Job.

Remember back to the example of Moses and Korah.  WHAT IF KORAH HAD JUST THOUGHT THESE THOUGHTS RATHER THAN SAYING THEM OUT LOUD?  Surely the response from God would have been far different.  If we express our thoughts publicly, and if they are negative and influence other people negatively, then that forces God to act publicly, just as He did with Korah.  A similar example is that of Miriam and Aaron, when God smote Miriam with leprosy.  What if they had just kept their thoughts quiet and hadn’t spoken them?

The wise virgins in the end time will do well to keep negative thoughts and accusations quiet, just in case they are wrong, possibly avoiding a public reaction from God.  We, the end time virgins, have a lot to learn as we wake up from our sleep, Matthew. 25:5. As said earlier, there are NO EXCEPTIONS to this sleeping.  God may very well be using the Job Principle, turning Satan loose on any one of us to wake us up.  Let’s tread easy on God’s people, our fellow brothers and sisters.

1 Corinthians 10:11 applies to us.  All the examples are written for the end time Christians.  We are judged for every idle word, Matthew. 12:36-37.

Matthew 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
