Are you willing to step over the bodies of the dead and dying “Christians” as the end-time prophesies unfold? If not, you will never be in God’s kingdom. Why would I say such a thing? Because there is substantial Bible information to substantiate the point and to test us in the coming years. Will we step over the dead and dying spiritual bodies of our best friends, family members, acquaintances as we plunge on toward eternity with God?
Who is our arch enemy?
I Peter 5: 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
He is after the ten virgins who will be awakened by Elijah’s cry at midnight:
Matthew 25:6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
Regardless of what you or I think our status is in any true church of God, we are all asleep until we hear the cry at midnight.
Satan will be raging after the ten virgins and five will eventually succumb. He already has three out of four of the good seed:
Matthew 13: 3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; 4 And when he sowed, some [seeds] fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up: 5 Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: 6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:
8 But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some a hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
These people are called of God. Matthew 13:18-23 shows what happens as these people waste their calling:
Matthew 13:18 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. 19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth [it] not, then cometh the wicked [one], and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. 20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; 21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some a hundredfold some sixty, some thirty.
The tares are Satan’s from the start. Notice another example of how the tares waste their calling:
Matthew 13:25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. 26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.
27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? 28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
Christ gives us no clue at all that the people (tares) repent at all. Apparently they have a mind set that makes them incorrigible from the start. Christ said of Judas that it would have been better if he’d never been born.
Matthew 26:23 And he answered and said, He that dippeth [his] hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me. 24 The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.
How will the “roaring lion” devour us? He will go for our weakest point—we all have them, spiritually speaking. For instance, here is one example that will be a weak spot for some: Can you accept the fact that Jesus Christ’s love is a tough love? That the tares are placed in the church right alongside the good seed by Satan? And that God considers this their calling, because they are gathered and burned at Christ’s return?
Matthew 13:29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
Fire is final. It’s obvious that the tare’s association with the good seed is their calling. Some people will stumble and die over this fact. Will you be a spiritually dying body for someone to step over? Read Revelation 21:8:
Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
“Fearful” is Strong’s 1169 and means “dread, timid, i.e., (by impl. faithless); -fearfull.” The word “unbelieving” means exactly what it says. Notice these people won’t be in the kingdom. If God has listed these eight things in order of seriousness, fearful and unbelieving are at the top of the list. Why is this so serious? It can lead to massive spiritual problems:
Hebrews 11: 6 But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Without faith, it its impossible to please God. Being fearful or faithless will cause you to miss out on the blessings of 2 Corinthians 6:17-18, and will instead send you to the lake of fire. Verses 14, 15 and the first part of 16 are clearly talking about an association with Satan:
2 Corinthians 6: 14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in [them]; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]; and I will receive you, 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
This is an absolute command from God. He is speaking of the Synagogue of Satan in verses 14-16. Anyone who is faithless cannot obey the command in II Corinthians 6:17. Thereby Christ will not receive them and they cannot be his son or daughter. This leaves a dead or dying “Christian” in the dirt. Will you step over him or her?
Let’s examine Psalm 91:1-11:
Psalm 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
Think about what it will be like now at the end time to dwell in the shadow of the all powerful God? If we are in His shadow that means He has a close eye on us.
Psalm 91:2 I will say of the LORD, [He is] my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. 3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, [and] from the noisome pestilence.
Can you claim God is your refuge and fortress, that He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler (Satan)? Remember, Satan is after the end time Christians:
1 Corinthians 10: 11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
Like a roaring lion:
1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Psalm 91: 4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth [shall be thy] shield and buckler.
Can you honestly say that this applies to you? To obtain salvation, you will have to reach this point.
Psalm 91:5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; [nor] for the arrow [that] flieth by day;
If you are in the Father’s shadow, this terror by night cannot reach you. Remember Satan is associated with darkness along with his henchmen, the demons.
Psalm 91:6 [Nor] for the pestilence [that] walketh in darkness; [nor] for the destruction [that] wasteth at noonday.
In our Dad’s shadow, this pestilence (disease of watering down, rejecting, picking and choosing what Bible verses we want to believe) won’t touch you.
Psalm 91:7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; [but] it shall not come nigh thee.
If you survived the WCG debacle, you’ve already witnessed this—you have already stepped across many (spiritually) dead and dying bodies.
Psalm 91:8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
If you watch closely you’ll see how God deals with the wicked.
Psalm 91:9 Because thou hast made the LORD, [which is] my refuge, [even] the most High, thy habitation; 10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. 11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
Verses 9-11 certainly apply to us, if we are living in the shadow of the Almighty God.
Now let’s go to a Biblical example of stepping over dead bodies:
2 Kings 1: 8 And they answered him, [He was] an hairy man, and girt with a girdle of leather about his loins. And he said, It [is] Elijah the Tishbite.
Elijah must have had somewhat of a reputation. He certainly didn’t have the Ambassador College look. Will we fail to recognize Elijah because of the way he looks, his accent, or his lack of refinement, or who knows what else that might turn us off about the man? We had better judge him by the Bible and what he says.
2 Kings 1: 9 Then the king sent unto him a captain of fifty with his fifty. And he went up to him: and, behold, he sat on the top of an hill. And he spake unto him, Thou man of God, the king hath said, Come down.
10 And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I [be] a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.
11 Again also he sent unto him another captain of fifty with his fifty. And he answered and said unto him, O man of God, thus hath the king said, Come down quickly.
12 And Elijah answered and said unto them, If I [be] a man of God, let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And the fire of God came down from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.
Notice the attitude change as this scenario unfolds: The first two captains of 50 came up to Elijah and seemed to be ordering him around, demanding that he come down. So Elijah called fire down from heaven and zapped them. 102 literal dead bodies that Elijah had to walk over. Since the Bible is written for end time Christians (1 Corinthians 10:11), is this symbolic of end time scenarios as the end time Elijah confronts the captains of splinter groups of WCG or the captains of groups that are not of this fold?
John 10: 16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, [and] one shepherd.
You can bet Satan will have the hierarchy in place most anywhere there are God’s people and is no doubt firmly entrenched. Some groups will be left in shambles with the entire group left dead and dying as Elijah does his job. Will we be able to step across these bodies of friends, family and acquaintances?
Now back to the original Elijah:
2 Kings 1: 13 And he sent again a captain of the third fifty with his fifty. And the third captain of fifty went up, and came and fell on his knees before Elijah, and besought him, and said unto him, O man of God, I pray thee, let my life, and the life of these fifty thy servants, be precious in thy sight.
The attitude is entirely different with the captain of the third 50. Does he represent the shepherds of Ezekiel 34:8, the last part of the verse, whom God will eventually reclaim as they repent? There will be plenty of dead and dying “Christians” as this unfolds in the end time.
Read again Matthew 25:6:
Mat 25:6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. 7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
“Cry” is Stong’s 2906 meaning “an outcry (in notification, tumult or grief)…” Zodhiates’ Complete Word Study Dictionary New Testament says of this same word “to clamor or to cry…” Continuing, he says the way it is used in Matthew 25:6 “an outcry, usually for public information…”
Webster’s II New College Dictionary says of “tumult”: “1.Commotion or noise produced by a very large crowd 2. A great disturbance a tempestuous uprising, riot. 3.Mental or emotional agitation.” This last definition will most likely be the way that the cry at midnight affects the ten virgins.
“Clamor,” according to Webster’s: “1. A loud outcry 2.Vehement expression of discontent or protest…“
This cry at midnight will produce many spiritual casualties as the five foolish virgins go back to sleep. Anyone who has been in the church for many years has close friends (past or present) that will be classed as tares or good seed gone bad. Will you be able to step across these dead and dying “Christians,” and fight your way on into the Kingdom? If you’re not able, you won’t be in the kingdom. A certain amount of spiritual mouth-to-mouth resuscitation would certainly be in order, but if they will not revive, will you stay there and die with them?
Notice Daniel 12:7:
Dan 12:7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which [was] upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that [it shall be] for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these [things] shall be finished.
“Scatter” is Strong’s 5310 meaning “to dash to pieces…” Other translations say “shatter,” “smashing,” “crushed,” and “completely shattered.”
This smashing of the power of the Holy people will produce many, many casualties. The power of the Holy people has been the corporate structures put in place by Satan. God is smashing this into oblivion. Anyone who won’t come out and be separate as commanded in 2 Corinthians 6:17 (review on page 3) will not be in the Kingdom. Each one of us will have to go one on one with God, placing no human between us and God. The current split in United Church of God is a scattering of the Holy people. David Hume has split off with his group—this is a good example of the smashing that God is doing. This smashing continues on a smaller scale as people are disfellowshipped for confronting the hierarchy system. The living room churches keep fragmenting for various reasons.
What God says in Daniel 12:7 is a done deal, completed on His time schedule. There will be many dead and dying spiritual casualties for the wise virgins to step over. Another scenario which will produce many spiritually dead and dying on our trip into eternity is spelled out in Matthew 10:34-38:
Mat 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. 35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. 36 And a man’s foes [shall be] they of his own household. 37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
Verse 34: What is the opposite of peace? It’s war—war produces casualties. Will the situation described in verses 35-36 produce casualties? You bet it will! This will be extremely hard for those true sheep, good virgins, who are experiencing it. Could you step across the spiritually dead and dying body of your father, husband, wife, son daughter or sister? The tendency would be for us to lag back with the spiritual mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, trying to revive a fallen family member. But if we lag too long, Satan will surely sweep us away. Verses 37-38 make it very clear that if we won’t walk across and go on, we will not be in the Kingdom.
2 Corinthians 6:17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean [thing]; and I will receive you,
This is an absolute command. What if your mate, child or other family member refuses to obey? This will no doubt be a stumbling stone for the foolish virgins. As they are confronted with this command during the end time, they will realize that it’s time to put up or shut up. The wise virgins will charge on across into eternity.
We are commanded in Matthew 7:6 not to cast our pearls before swine. What is the “pearl” of the end time Christian? Luke 1:17 and Matthew 17:10-13 make it clear that it should be the message of Elijah—but NOT THE MAN HIMSELF. God won’t tolerate another HWA-type idol. But the jewels, the pearls, the diamonds, the precious truths that Elijah will be showing us will be the way to salvation that no one else can reveal at the end time. These truths that wake up the 10 virgins (Matthew 25:6), and cause the bride to make herself ready (Revelation 19:7) should be our pearl of great price (Matthew 13:46). NOT THE MAN–NEVER, NEVER, NEVER THE MAN. God will not have a man between you and Him—it’s a one on one relationship. We are standing on the edge of the promised land. Notice the instructions in Joshua 1:7 and Joshua23:6:
Joshua 1:7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it [to] the right hand or [to] the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.
Joshua23:6 Be ye therefore very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the book of the law of Moses, that ye turn not aside therefrom [to] the right hand or [to] the left;
These instructions are to the end time Christians:
1Corinthians 10: 11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. 12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
Verse 12 offers a dire warning to the 10 virgins as we awake to the cry at midnight. Will we be like Samuel?
1Samuel 3: 19 And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground.
Matthew 18:3 is an absolute command:
Matthew 18:3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
If we don’t repent at Elijah’s behest, we won’t be in the Kingdom.
